What We Do
How we do this...
Proud to be local
Why Choose Beatrice Carter Property
That’s why most of our landlords don’t just work with us once, they stay for years.
We’re a family-run independent business, now into our third generation, and that means we take every property personally. When you hand us your keys, we treat that home as if it were our own, managing it properly, maintaining it promptly, and communicating with you clearly.
Unlike large, faceless firms, you’ll always deal directly with real people who know your property, not an outsourced manager. You’ll have direct WhatsApp access to Brad and the team, quick replies, and a management process that’s transparent from start to finish.
We also believe that good service doesn’t need fine print. Our pricing is clear and upfront, no sneaky renewal charges, no “admin fees” hiding in the small print. We’ve built our reputation on honesty, and that’s what keeps landlords coming back.
Over the years, we’ve handled everything from single lets to full USAF housing portfolios. Whatever you own a single flat, a family home, or a multi-property portfolio, we’ll make sure it’s looked after properly and consistently performing at its best.
And it’s not just us saying it. Our clients have voted us Best in County for five consecutive years at the ESTAS Awards, and we’ve collected dozens of verified five-star Google reviews. Every one of those reviews came from landlords and tenants who’ve experienced how we work, personal, proactive, and proud to be different.
At Beatrice Carter Property, we’re not trying to be the biggest agency in Mildenhall. We’re focused on being the most trusted. And if you want a letting agent who actually cares about each key on the wall then you’ve found us.
Who was Beatrice Carter?
We’re often asked, “Who was Beatrice Carter?”
Beatrice Carter (formerly Beatrice Cornell) was born in the 19th century near Mildenhall. She married James Carter, a well-known local farmer. Together they raised seven children — one of whom, our Great Aunt Beryl, is still with us today at 98.
Beryl remembers her parents farming the land where Field Road now sits and witnessing the famous 1934 “Mildenhall to Melbourne Air Race” taking off from RAF Mildenhall — then one of the world’s largest runways.
James and Beatrice once owned much of the land that’s now Mildenhall Industrial Estate and College Heath Road. After the war, the council compulsorily purchased it for a fraction of its worth. Despite that, James Carter’s name lives on — Carter Road on the Industrial Estate stands as part of his legacy.
The name Beatrice Carter Property was chosen to honour Beatrice herself, who began renting out homes during wartime in the 1940s. Today, we continue that legacy with the same local roots, integrity, and hard work that defined her life.
